Rock Legend Rick Parfitt of Status Quo

Rick Parfitt  1948 - 2016
I read the news today oh boy, about a lucky man that made the grave, although the news was rather sad, I just had to turn up the amp!  Rock legend Rick Parfitt died today of complication from a shoulder injury which got infected. Parfitt died at the age of 68 at Marbella hospital in Spain.

“This tragic news comes at a time when Rick was hugely looking forward to launching a solo career with an album and autobiography planned for 2017 following his departure from Status Quo.  He will be sorely missed by his family, friends, fellow band members, management, crew and his dedicated legion of fans from throughout the world, gained through 50 years of monumental success with Status Quo.” a statement read from the band.

I have to say it's a rarity for a rock band to sound better as they get older and to prove this careful not to clip the amp!

Front-man Parfitt.

R.I.P. Rick Parfitt. Born in Surrey, England in 1948.
