Below is a list of worldwide mass animal deaths for 2016, with pages also for mass die-offs from the previous 5 years.  The Holocene extinction, otherwise referred to as the Sixth extinction numerous families of plants and animals including mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles and arthropods.  The present rate of extinction may be up to 140,000 species per year, making it the greatest loss of biodiversity since the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event.

Punta Gorda Isle FL. with a Message?

Punta Gorda Isle FL.

I remember this area when I was a kid, Punta Gorda, FL. was mostly swamp and undeveloped but today seems as a made island build up with a message. The language this represent is Chinese? or what? Wonder what it says, any clues? Tough to find out online, so if anyone knows of this beautiful paradise now and its message.

A little history:
The first known development of what became Burnt Store Isles took place in the 1920s.  A wealthy industrialist, a Mr. Louis Calder, fell in love with Florida and the area along Alligator Creek near the city of Punta Gorda.
