300-foot Iceberg Passing Through

Recently scientists have watched an iceberg four miles long break off from a glacier calving in (noted above, glacier debris field)  Northwestern Greenland.  An iceberg 300ft high and a third of a mile long is floating in Low-lying areas in the village of Innarsuit Settlement.

Giant Floating Icebergs

The path of these monsters along the northwest coast of Green Land, and another one (bottom left) southwest of the Settlement, very hazardous for shipping lanes.

Floating Island

The main concern of these icebergs is when they move closer or break apart causing mini Tsunamis!  Not only that but becoming grounded near shore and a storm approaches the area?  All Hell will break loose!

Then there's this beast to the southwest, noted above in the second satellite photo.
