Of Pride, Respect and Honor |
Any world leader who was invited to this most Honorable event in Red Square Moscow and did not attend is simply a disgrace. The only feasible reason for not attending is that you suffered a faith as those who have fallen. Imagine if the ones who have fallen during WWII of just the Soviet Union were to march single file through Red Square. It would take 1140 days, that's 3.1 years to pass you by. Now if one adds all approximate loss of life during WWII, you would be standing there for 3,876 days or 10.6 years for those souls to pass you by, who made it possible for you even to receive an invitation.
The lesson learned here is the sacrifice which we all know and feel, do we really want to go through this again? If so, I think it should be mandatory for war mongers to stand at attention for 10 years so it sinks in! Now that's not even humanly possible, nor is the fact that the ones who came out of WWII unscathed that profited from such devastation, which have no remorse for human life and shouldn't be able to dwell amongst us.
Victory Day
At 2:10 am Moscow time on May 9, 1945, the sonorous, measured voice of radio announcer Yuri Levitan declared: “Germany has been entirely vanquished.” The final treaty had been signed in Berlin.
