Fort McMurray Fire Erupts
















Alberta Canada on May 3rd, 2016, experiences the largest evacuation in its countries history, 80,000 citizens with what you could carry, head south from this beast of a fire, engulfing the area of Anzac. Alberta’s Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are going door-to-door, warning residents of Anzac, Gregoire Lake Estates, and Fort McMurray First Nation to leave ASAP. Some 1,600 buildings have been destroyed by the fires and the price of West Texas Intermediate crude-oil futures rise$ The Alberta Tar Sands are North of Fort McMurray; camps designed to house temporary workers are being used to house the thousands of people fleeing the fires.

More than 1,200 firefighters, about 110 helicopters, 295 pieces of heavy equipment and 27 air tankers have been deployed to fight the flames, according to the Alberta provincial government. "An absolutely vicious fire."
